Completed just over a year and a half ago, this house was designed and built by the Building Arts Workshop, a design build firm owned by architects Jeff and Tracy Prose. It won 1st Place in the 2008 Portland Spaces Magazine Roots Award for Building Design and was featured in the August/September 2008 issue of the magazine Homes and Gardens Northwest which focused on green issues in the area. It is LEED certified at the Platinum level.
The project built two new houses on the site. Only this one is for sale. Each house is on its own deeded lot. Each house has its own two car garage with a common wall between them. This house is a wonderful example of a forward looking house that earned the highest recognition for sustainability and green building by achieving the highest LEED rating for its design and engineering, its materials choices and its construction techniques.
