Brett Crawford – Principal, Crawford Architecture and Planning, brings over 25 years of experience in public & private projects including work on civic facilities, libraries, museums, historic preservation / restoration and educational facilities.  His skills at translating client needs into project goal and his background in both new construction and historic preservation have enabled him to successfully manage such projects as the Beaverton City Library, the Center for the Visual Arts at Southern Oregon University, the restoration of the Graduate School of Fine Arts Library at the University of Pennsylvania, and the renovation of the Main Line Center for the Arts in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Prior to forming Brett Crawford, Architecture & Planning his was one of the founding partners of Works Partnership Architecture llc.  Brett was a Senior Associate at Opsis Architecture where he managed the new Firstenburg Community Center that is slated to be one of the largest LEEDtm Silver Certified facilities in the northwest.  Prior to OPSIS, Brett was an associate at Thomas Hacker and Associates Architects.  His projects while there included the Beaverton City Library, the Center for Visual Arts at Southern Oregon State College in Ashland, the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and the Wasco County Historical Museum in The Dalles, and the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Montana.

Brett moved to Portland after having his own architectural practice for 3 years in Philadelphia, PA following 8 years at the Philadelphia based, but internationally recognized design firms of Venturi, Scott, Brown and Associates (Robert Venturi – Pritzkers Prize 1991) and Mitchell/Giurgola Architects (Romaldo Giurgola, AIA Gold Medal Award 1982).

Brett graduated from the University of Idaho, and was an adjunct professor at both Temple University and the Philadelphia College of Art in Pennsylvania.  He has also served repeatedly as a critic and guest lecturer at numerous schools.
Brett is a licensed architect in the states of Pennsylvania, Washington and Oregon; is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED accredited professional.

 

Dana Ing-Crawford is a UoO grad w/ 15yrs of experience in architecture and
construction management at (JKS(Sienna), BOORA, SRG) and is currently an
associate at Thomas Hacker's office.
